Timing Patterns and Sensor, piezo pressure retainer
Hi guys,
You might be able to help me out.
Crank:
For both common rail engines, I am trying to find out about the crank timing pattern (i.e. is it 60 -2) and the type of sensor, i.e. two wire (inductive) or three wire (hall effect).
Cam:
I also need to find out whether the cam phase monitors a single tooth, or an encoder plate of teeth of various lengths like in the vw bosch common rail system.
Piezo:
Where piezo injectors are used, is there a pressure retaining valve on the injector spill ines, and if so what is the pressure?
Thanks

Plan to build a system that will use the output of a instantaneous biocrude fuel characterisation sensor (Waste Veg oil etc) to dynamically alter engine timing and other parameters on the fly, to compensate for the non-conformal nature of biocrudes as a fuel.
Basically want to build a tuning box that is controlled by the fuel.
Ditto for fuel conditioning system. Also alternative DPF regen strategy.
In the short term I need the requested info to pick a suitable vehicle.
Can you help please?
