Throttle Valve Removal?

Throttle Valve Removal?
So, I have asked what the purpose of the throttle valve is and if it can be removed without a programmer, and have yet to get a straight answer.
How much better is a performance intake than the stock one? Will I experience a significant increase in performance with a performance intake?

I don't thiink you can remove the throttle valve without a programmer. I've heard of people removing the "butterfly" and such only (along with unplugging the EGR), but it is best to leave it alone and get a programmer (where the electrical connector is unplugged and the unit left in place) or delete it with a programmer.

Truck will run fine around town until you get on the hiway then the truck will depower & try to leave you stranded..........don't ask me how I found this out !
You'll also get a chime & the dreaded red lightning bolt symbol will appear.
Other than just unplugging the EGR, there isn't much you can do without a programmer.
