s67 vs s67 me

I am wanting to purchase a smarty and need a few things straightened out for me first. I haven't done the deletes yet, only have the egr unplugged. Is the s67 and s67me the same downloader, but the programming is different? If you buy an me can you download the software with the regen still in it. I'm gonna do the deletes, but after dropping 685 on a programmer, i'm gonna have to let the bank acct build back up a little bit. Thanks in advance for the help

You buy the S67 and load the ME software from Mads site. The ME is for trucks with deletes only.

I do believe that you could download any Smarty Software to the unit...

IE if you sell the 6.7 and get a 5.9 you could return to stock and redownload.

You should be able to get the S67 or S67ME and go back and forth. I believe the hardware is the same for both and you just get the version loaded with the software you want to start with. I started with the S67 and went to the ME. You could buy the S67ME first and if you need to return to stock you could download S67 to it and go that route. Just another reason I really like it.

The Smarty is fully upgradable. All the software and drivers are available on the MADS site. I originally ran the Smarty on S version just until I got my delete pipe figured out.

If you do run the Smarty, plug the EGR back in. It disables it, but still needs the EGR servo circuit to work properly.

Sorta.. It also causes a reported 40 hp de-rate if you leave it unplugged with the Smarty. With the Smarty in S or ME mode you need the EGR servo plugged in for it to work.

You need to unplug the connector on the throttle valve and leave the actuator hooked up. Just follow the directions on the Mads site.

I don't remember reading that. Have both still connected but the butterfly door has been removed when originally did the deletes before the Smarty came out.
The throttle body should be disabled with the ME program.
