How Loud Is A Downpipe?
I already have a DPF delete pipe and I didnt notice much difference when i took the DPF off.
I was curious how much louder my truck if I replace the factory down pipe with a 4" downpipe and keep the stock muffler?
I dont like it too loud since I take long trips. Does anyone have any sound clips?

I can tell you its not gonna be loud at all. That is how mine is currently set up and the only time you can hear the exhaust is in 6th gear lockup under 50mph. You know, when it lugs it a bit, and then its barely even noticeable. If you're looking for not loud, this setup will do you fine.

I doubt if you would notice a difference. These trucks straight piped are actually quiet!!! id say you would love a mbrp 5inch exhaust system with a muffler!!!! its not loud at all and it gives it a nice tone!!

Mines slightly louder than stock, but only the smallest amount. I just removed the DPF/cat, the rest of the exhaust is stock. Sure helped on turbo spool-up and gave her a wee bit more power as well.

I am contemplating putting in the downpipe to get rid of the DOC as the final step. Compared to my FIL's 2010 side by side, the rumble is more apparent without the DPF/CAT but not like straight piping the older versions. I do get more of a drone in the 2200 RPM range with RV in tow on hills, but its not that bad.
