high amp alternators
so i have reach a level of accessories like im sure a lot of you have to where im pushing the envelope on the factory alternator and im looking to go with a high amp alternator instead of stock but my question is do they hurt engine performance in anyway and any particular brand anyone recommend and anything to watch out for? thanks for the input

I put a Napa Gold in mine 3 years ago and has been awesome. I am running a lot of extra stuff and it has held up really well.
Extra:4 gauges, Sirius, CB radio, Radar detector and phones chargers. Sometimes I will charge my mac book or Ipad if the kids are watching movies on long trips.

If you're worried about it, swap to a high output alternator, run some caps for the stereo and add a dry cell AGM battery.
This will fix a lot of the issues, and the draw won't have you chasing weird sensor issues.

Put a stock denso back on . dodge used the 220 denso in the 5500 chassis, it fits right in on the 6.7 pickups as well, but you have to upgrade the charge wire to a bigger size. the denso number is 421000-7001 or dodge 4801313AC
