Fuel Filter/Water Sep
Im tired of messing with that gypsy fuel filter set up and want to relocate it. I was thinking of putting them on the framerail and was wondering if anybody put together a fuel filter/water seperator setup on their truck?

get two 4770 napa bases, 3406 filter and a 3674 filter. series the filters and mount them just forward of the fuel tank. cut the tank feed line at this point and connect the filters. if you need further instructions and pix pm me your email address

Im with you. Been looking around and asking some of the senior members about this. Im looking to go with an aftermarket pump and bypass the factory setup.
I think Im going to go with a Rapter 150 into a GDP frame mounted Fleetgaurd fuel/water seperator and then into the MK2 setup.
Should work quite nicely for filtration, and provide enough fuel for whatever future mods you want to do.

I think that the Rap150 would be plenty enough. Im gonna try and install the draw straw in the basket to elimnate the 1/4 tank issues.
I dont see a reason to go Airdog when you can get the FleetGaurd FW sep and then into the already existing MK2 setup. Seems like a great system to me. Im just like you, not sure if I would want to go with the 1/2 or 3/8 lines.
What would the benifits of the sump be.

You know if the sump hangs down below the frame. I get into some pretty rough stuff sometimes and would hate to tear it up
I do like the idea though
