FASS on a 6.7, leave the intank pump?
Just wanting to get some better fuel filtration. If you install a FASS, can you leave your intank lift pump? I'm not really interested in dropping the tank (did that on my old truck and it was a PIA) just wanting better filtration to look after the cp3 and injectors. I'm not interested in big power either, I need my truck for work and its gotta be reliable.

Not sure what you mean. Are you thinking of running the FASS pump in line with the factory one still powered or drawing fuel through the factory one with just the FASS powered? Either way, I think that would be an added stress to the FASS and the factory pump depending on how you plan to do it. Best way is to eliminate the factory pump. JMHO.

on my 2010 fourth gen, I installed a secondary filter (cat 2 um filter) in between the stock fuel filter and the CP3. I got a filter head from princess auto and some 12mm to 1/2 in barb. I also rigged up a fuel pressure gauge on the out side of the filter head. My fuel pressure is around 12-14psi. No fass is required or dropping the tank. The stock pump is good for trucks running under 450rwhp.
I just bolted the filter head to the cylinder head by the rail. Made my own brace/support. The cat filter is about 2/3 time bigger than the stocker. Princess auto also sells water seperators filters or you can get them from cummins.
