best place (most accessable) to run wires into the cab?
i will be ordering gauges friday, and am needing to know the easiest place to run wires into the cab. i cant find a good spot anywhere. i had to run power to my fuel transfer pump under the bed from the switch i mounted down by the shifter. ran that wire out next to the e-brake cable. worked fine going that direction, but theres no more room there now, pretty tight fit.
also have a set of kc lights i'll be putting on, so i'd like to run the wires for the gauges and lights thru the same spot to save some trouble. from the inside i can see a couple rubber pass throughs, but i cant find them outside.
thanks guys,
kerry

I made a slit in the rubber grommet [both sides] that is to the left of the steering column. Its the factory wiring harness grommet. I used some rebar wire as a fish line to pull the leads from the gauges through. After I got everything in place I put a bead of silicone on the inside slit. I doubt I even needed to do that. You will see what I mean when you are in there.

Sometimes it's just as easy to drill your own hole and install a grommet. That way also, your wiring will never be in the way if you have to replace whatever part you poked your wires through.
