bad axle joint with deletes

I believe I have a u-joint, wheel, going bad, have'nt got under the truck to verify, but its sort of like its in 4- wheel drive on dry pavement, can feel thru steering wheel. My question is, I have the full deletes done, if or can I take my truck in to hopefully have the joint covered by warranty, or will the stick it to me, because of the deletes being done? Can they say call the fed goverment, or whoever to report the deletes? or should I just do the joint myself? thanks

Totally dependent on the dealer I'm afraid. Some will care, some won't (if they were smart) and cover anything not engine related to the delete stuff. Hard to ask hypothetical at the dealer without raising suspicion.

unfortunately i was asking my friend who is the service advisor at a local dealership and her response to me was that they dont even want deleted vehicles in their shop (I was asking about a tranny service not u joints) i am assuming then they could say they havent warrantied stuff they shouldnt have on modified trucks.... and ive known her for a long time

Interesting timing. My truck's u-joint just started getting squeeky and I can also feel it in the wheel at low speeds while turning.
I am going to pick up some Spicer 5006813 sealed u-joints.

I am a little apprehensive about the install though. Mostly about getting the unit bearing off.

Very disappointing for a 2009 with only 40,000km of fairly light use.

I'll probably get a couple new ones, have a shop that works on my vehicles alot, to do the repair. Are the spicers about the best ones out there? I have about 35000 miles on my 08.
