acceleration??
I have just completed the deletes ---- Nox DPF and disabled EGR , EGR COOLER, And Throttle valve Per write-up
I have the 2008 SLT quad Cab 6.7
I have the Smarty Jr67 ME22 set on 2 towing and 99 HP it seems to be running fine except when I punch to about 1/2 throttle then it starts surging quite badly,
What am I not doing right ? this is my first diesel which I purchased June 23rd this year and as you can tell I need help.
appreciate anyones input , could it be something in the smarty timing settings ? I am on level 3

Are you getting any CEL's? If you followed the instruction on the exhaust tubing disconnects, and did the disconnects under the hood then you should be good. You removed the EGR plunger only and left if plugged in right?

I reloaded This AM and the Truck still surges when punched a little
I have two CEL's that won't go away one is P007D unkown ---- The other is / Manifold absolute pressure sensor LOW /
Before the deletes and the smarty Jr --- I had a CEL the dealership told me , was EGR valve stuck open, they wanted $750 to replace , therefore DELETES !!!
The delrtes was done per Califonia version on this forum Per Blake Clark / mads instructions
I have programmed ECM Level #2 Towing Pod 99 Torgue #2 Timming #2
The truck runs great except for the surging , and If I back off just a little on the acceleration it increases speed quite rapidly. and MPG's have increased around 3 or 4

Have you tried clearing the codes twice and cleaning your map sensor. Just a suggestion. Just found this.

Did you unplug the MAP sensor?
Its the plug seen here
If so that one needs to be plugged in and the Throttle valve needs to be unplugged. Seems to me like you may have mistaken unplugged the wrong one.
This is the proper one to unplug.
Just double check to make sure and let us know.

You guy's are great , thanks to all and Blake was right on target My error
everything seems to be working properly now with no CEL's
I have unplugged the one shown in the very last picture of your series.
( is everything electrical supposed to be disconnected from throttle valve? )
there are two plugs and I see in the Pic's , that both are unplugged . I NOW, ONLY HAVE one unplugged
I had disconnected the wrong one before

The plug that is above it and is not circled is the MAP sensor and should not be disconnected.
The plug off the the right that is the intake air temp sensor and should not be disconnected.

Wow. Sounds like someone went unplug happy there. The instructions only say the Throttle Valve as shown in the pictures.
Glad to know that you will soon have that frown turned upside down!
And... Blake is the man (once again), good job!
