XZT2 65hp box and commander
When used with the new XZT2 65hp tow box (part# xz2000), is the commander completely plug/play with no wire taps to the factory harness? Is anyone on DTR running the new version of the XZT tow box yet? How do the rail pressures and EGTs compare to a edge ez or power puck on a 2004 305/555 motor? I briefly considered ordering a Juice/attitude for a chip/gauge combo but $899 is not in my budget.

The commander at this time still uses t-taps for the coolant, and boost. If you go for the optional rail pressure and fuel pressure harness for about $65 it t-taps on the rail. All of the t-taps are 1 wire at each sensor.
I have the new XZT2, installed, and feals very smooth compared to the old xzt. I have a problem with my original wiring harness, it won't pass the wiggle test without making the truck run terrable, updated harness to follow. Seems to be on national backorder of a few weeks to the people that got in early.
Can't yet get on the throtttle hard due to a lift pump in it's last death throws, 5psi at idle and quickly hits 0. GFS will follow ASAP.
Rail pressure on the smoke program is atleast 2k above at same throttle, ramps up quick and levels off. Make sense?
Comparing EGT's I can't answer for ya. Never had anything else.
Original XZT would hit 1400 towing 8k under long hard accel. Don't know about new XZT2 yet.
