i dont think a re-flash would erase program and if they dont know what they are looking for when scanning it they wont see it! I think your truck has a programmer installed. It shouldnt roll any smoke that you can see when juice is on 0! With my edge on 1 you can hardly see smoke.

For what it is worth my 06 will smoke pretty good. My truck is stock and I am the original owner.

i know. before i had my edge i can see smoke. look carefully in your left mirror and slowly lay into her on highway.As long as your tranny isnt slipping you should see it even empty. Its not neccessarily meaning that its stacked , seeing black smoke can mean a different number of things. My turbo could be a little slow in spooling up or could be weak? But im a mechanic and i checked it. it seems good plus i can see 41 psi on isspro. So it cant be turbo. But maybe it spools a lil slower than it should. Im running ****** whistler intake system and Aero 4040xl on exhaust. my exhaust is stock piping minus the CAT and STOCK MUFFLER.

no i dont see anything for sure! And i dont ever see any othe diesel rollin smoke while getting on the highway. How thick is your smoke sallyman? And 41 psi,is that with juice on 0 as well?

i'm pretty sure that when your ecm is re-flashed, it will over-write the files that a programmer has loaded in it.

yes i can see 39-41 psi BRIEFLY when my edge is on 0 setting. Thats laying into it on highway EMPTY. I can hold it longer if im pulling trailer obviously.

no it Wont ROLL ROLL but i can see black haze coming out on setting 0 or without edge hooked up.

Those egt's sound about the same as on my 06. The thing is, though, that I can't ever get 40 psi boost even on 5/5. My tranny feels like it is going out, and i wonder if that won't let it build boost? I also don't really know if these temps are way high or not, but I don't like the feeling when I see 1500 - 1600. I've considered just using the attitude for a monitor and getting a Smarty for cooler power.

That's not entirely true...

The Juice does control the wastegate...just not directly. If it tells the ECM through the MAP sensor that the boost is at or above the point where the ECM would normally opens the wastegate...it opens.

It just cuts the boost reading and never allows it to go above the point that the ECM throws an overboost code....even if the boost is still rising. That also does not mean the wastegate is not open. If you trow enough fuel...and the HOT program is enough fuel...the boost can creep up after the wastegate is open...since the OEM one is so small.

I have used a Juice on my 4.5 for a long time and it has been a wonderfull product other than its poor EGT readings. Send it back to Edge and get it updated and checked.

I prefer the Smarty, TST, and MP-8 for total control...but the Juice still gets it done on for mild trucks.

they seem in check with my juice monitor compared to isspro. Next step is to remove edge and see what egts i get

dang sallyman1, i dont mean to be rude but i thought everyone said to do that along time ago! Even still if the juice is on 0 then it is not fueling at all! But give that a try an let us know
