Question Will they fit on a dually?

Buddy of mine ordered a new set of bfg mt's and is going to have them installed tomorrow. They are 285/70/17 and are going on the stock wheels. Btw it is an 03 quadcab 4wd. Thanks

Some say they will fit with no problems. Some say they will rub. I wish I knew the answer too because this is a possible future mod for me too....

Well I was just curious, I will post tomorrow and let you know how it works(or doesn't work) out. My personal thought was that it would look pretty darn sharp. We shall see?

I have heard several different opinions on the gap in the rear from it must be there to just let um eat it wont hurt anything.

If there touching you will be building heat in the sidewall and risk a blow out.I personally would be concerned especially towing.Every brand tire measures a little different even though they state a certain size.I have cooper 265/70/17's and they are wider than my friends bfg's of the same size,so the gap will vary. This pic is of mine with a 1/4" spacer.

Thanks Blu. That looks awesome! Makes me wish I had a drw. It appears that you have a leveling kit in the front? And did you add a spacer to the rear? Regardless looks great! My friends truck is white with all chrome acc. I think that it is going to look good as well.

I'm running 2 1/4" spacers(1/2" total per side) for the 265/70/17 firestone destination m/t's. Had about 6500 lbs on the rear axle tires didnt rub at all, tires were all at 65psi

Do you guys use the stock wheel studs or do you have to get longer ones when you are running those spacers?

Running stock studs with a 1/4" spacer. With a 1/2" the studs are not long enough to come past the top of the lug nut.I know these wheels are hubcentric and all the load is on the hubs but the lugnut stiil showing threads is a concern for me.
