Will larger exhaust help w/ Turbo bark?
Well, I now know what turbo bark is! 
The first time I heard it I thought the truck in front of me had run over a dog!! 
Anyways, other than the $700.00 blow-off valve from BD Power, is there anything I can do about this other than modify my driving habits?? What about a 5" turbo back exhaust?

I have a 5" turbo back and I have the bark bad. I have to shift just right when I'm on it or it'll scare the crap out of you. It kind of sounds neat but the consequence doesn't sound so neat. I never had a problem until I put the AFE 2 on it though; or at least I couldn't hear it.

Guys, Without a wastegate or BOV on the engine side of the turbo...it truly is the bigger the turbo the bigger the bark. The more airflow flowing the louder the bark. Freer flowing exhaust and intake faster turbo spool. Bark happens when all that exhaust power isn't needed for compressing intake air. When you let off a standard to shift you are going to get it unless you get real smooth or keep some throttle on. ks

I never had a problem with my stock turbo. It really only does it if I hammer it, like if I'm pulling into moving traffic, and then let off abruptly once I'm in. I guess I'll just have to learn to drive this thing right.... It sure is fun though....

After air intake and tc/trans upgrades I barked the stock turbo on sustained throttle through OD shift, not too bad any other time. With the SPS66 and TST/EZ even on very low settings it barks very easy and very LOUD. I have learned to drive to keep the barking to a minimum, but there are times you just have to do hard acceleration and then let off. I have been told the SPS66 can handle the barking and not hurt it. I still don't like it. I do believe that my Boost Gauge needle is on borrowed time. It is very tough on it to be reading 45psi and bounce to 0 and back to 25psi or so twice back to back while it sounds like an upset Great Dane is under the hood.
