Who runs the II PS62/12 or PS62/14?

Hello. Like I mentioned in another post on here somewhere, my mind was made up on an HTT65/65/13ss. Now there is that awesome sale on the II turbos. $1100 for the 62/12 or 62/14 (both 65's).

Who has one of these and how do ya' like it? How is spool up on that 14?

One cool thing about the HTT one is it is a 13, so I am not required to choose between a 12 or 14 (hu-hu).

Thanx.

You know my opinion, but the II PS62s are just as nice, the 14cm should spool close to the 13cm. If you can get it on sale, why not? I would've.

Got a PS62/14, runs great. Get the 14cm. Spool is just slightly slower than stock, but you would expect that.

dude just step up now & buy a turbo already ! 1100.00 for a quality turbo brand new is a screaming deal !

on a tight budget ? buy now ! 1100.00 for a II , go for the 62/65/14 the 12 may be better if you had an auto trans , but because you have a rowing machine get the 14 , the spool up will be quick and easy, the II 62/65/14 will do everything you need it too & then some .......including pulling that nice big trailer you have

I want one right now! My turbo fund got damaged a tad when a buddy offered me a super deal on one of those Honda 3000 silent generators. I needed one this summer and maybe in my trip I am doing in about a week.

I can tell you a generator is definitely not as exciting as a turbo.

Now I have 1 month before the sale ends. So I guess the countdown is on for me to work up some cash fast.

I pm'd DPW. He got back to me asap. He suggested the PS62, and the 12 or 14 was my choice (slower spool, cooler EGT's). It turned out good to have a manual because he said I don't need to buy a $100 down pipe.

Man that price is awesome.

Just buy one.. Then tell me how it is so i can make up my mind. I too was thinking the 13ss would be the way to go but man that price is good and free shipping also that rocks, would the 14 housing be that much slower to spool than the 13. Rip if your there how is yours compared to stock?

does anyone know what turbo would be better for what I have in my sig? I was looking at the II silver 62 but I dont want a lot of turbo lag with my auto tranny. so would it be better to go with a sps 62/12 or 62/14 or even a ps 62/12 or 62/14. I just dont know enough about them to know where to start. If there is no need for a silver then I will go with something not as expensive. Any help is appreciated.

The Diesel performance shop guy I like, Desertchecker (who has tried a bunch), HTT and DPW all said with a manual trans, the 14 is good with my mods (no injectors or pressure box).

Well I can tell you that with the right programming it can be quicker than stock. I'm running the 4.4 alone and it is crazy. sw7 spools the turbo quicker than I have ever seen it. I love the low egts, and it handles the high rpms nicely. I would think between the II and HTT they would be so similar you couldn't go wrong with either. But I will say I love it!!

You would light the Silver 62 just fine. For my truck the spool is very similar to the stock turbo, except the stock turbo had a little lag. If you do happen to buy one, make sure you get an aftermarket exhaust manifold. My ATS manifold made a lot of difference in the way my 62 spools.
