all those who run 5 or 6" exhaust, could you post and just give some info on how it sounds compared to a 4" straightpipe? thanks

well i just got done putting my 5 inch on. its a turbo back, got it off ebay for $320.00. it came with a muffler and it was more quiet then my straight pipe 4 inch. so i did what any guy would do... i lost the muffler. oooohhhhh much better it is loud. if thats what your looking for it is really loud. just cruisin it kinda sounds like a jap import car without the muffler, but nail it and it screams. i think im gonna be doing 5 inch stacks next week.

I have the 5inch turbo back and its not the sound I wanted. I have alot of drone and isnt very deep. My buddy has just a aeroturbine with the kat still on and his is deeper and better sounding than mine. I am planning on a different muffler soon.

cool. i had 5" stacks and didnt like how they looked when i put my new lift on. they looked great with the 6" lift tho

I have a 5" Expandit system turbo back without a cat. It is MUCH louder than the stock 4" with cat. Never had this vehicle straight piped so i'm no help there. The system I installed flares from 4 to 5 inch immediately at the downpipe, in the space of just 2 inches or so. The flow thru muffler might as well be a straight piece of pipe for all the muffling it does! It produces a constant deep rumble at idle, and sounds like an LNG bus exhaust under throttle, very loud!

im running the stock down pipe with it going immediately to 5 inch straight pipe turned down about a foot behind the cab...its LOUD...just bought a Silverline system for it...too loud for me...resonates like crazy but a lot of that is because it is dumped..Jason
