For the money spent....cut the CAT and stock muffler off....then just throw on a 41" or 51" Donaldson muffler. My set-up is just a touch louder (much deeper tone) and has NO drone at all...its amazing to say the least.

Now the Donaldson 41" I replaced it with is freaking sweet! quiet in the cab and enough on the outside to let you know its a CTD. Wish I would have done the Donaldson to begin with and would have saved myself alot of money

What's the Donaldson 41" part#?
I had inititally installed the MBRP muffler and never really cared for the drone. Took it off and had a MagnaFlow installed, and that made it better but still a slight drone. After about 8K miles like that, I went back to the muffler shop and had the MBRP installed inline with the MagnaFlow, so now there are 2 mufflers. Much better now.

I think the 4" Donaldson is much more quiet.
I may go down to see Paul Fox at Orange County Muffler (also Defiant Off-Road) and have a Shuttleworth installed. Might be as quiet as stock, or close to it.

Call Paul at Defiant 714-997-9111. I think he's set up as a distributor. I've seen them in person, and they seem to be a well made product. Similar in design to a Donaldson, but with bigger louvers (as opposed to perforations) that won't get plugged with soot.
AFAIK Shuttleworth doesn't have a website...

Maybe I'll see if Defiant shows it. I met Paul, back when he and Carli were in the same building. Sage installed his Carli suspension system in my truck back then. Both, are good guys.
