i have it stock now. when i had my duramax i went with banks and it lasted 1 week and i sold it for 200 bucks to a buddy and he sold it in a week. i want something thats going to help with mpg but just done want that drone. i pull something everyday too so a drone would be bad

That's the winner!
You don't need anything larger than stock. Stock exhaust on an '06 is already 4" and can support over 600hp no problem. It doesn't make much sense to replace the stock 4" with an aftermarket 4". You won't see any MPG improvements doing that. Any bigger and it will get MUCH louder.

any aftermarket exhaust is going to have a "drone", but many companies have "hush" systems. i haven't looked lately, but i'm sure they are still out there. a 5" will increase fuel econ. and drop your egt, but will most likely have a deeper tone also. just a comment

Dodge stock one. I'm running a stock system with a Shuttleworth H.D. diesel muffler. Slightly louder than stock but zero drone. I've driven an '05 with Banks catback and it was louder than mine but no drone either. My friend's got a 5" Magnaflow turboback that drones him to death.
