Reading this tread from what has been said, you do NOT need to put the draw straw or mod the pickup on 03-04's with the Raptor 100/150 or Airdog 100? The Airdog 150 does need the drawstraws.

So all I would need to do is find a good spot to mount the pump, cut the factory tubing and get a blockoff plate to remove the factory lift pump on my truck?

Correct. I have talked to several guys "in the know" with these aftermarket pumps. The '03-'04.5 trucks have a much better pickup tube than '05 and up due to there being no pump in the tank itself. I didn't drop mine and it's kicked **** for 2 1/2 years now running 30 psi with stock lid as well. I know several guys running 35-40 psi with stock lid and no problems.

So for us 05+ guys, can we replace the in-tank canister/pump with the Jeep Liberty canister w/o pump, and install the raptor 150 in-line to the stock filter canister? It seems cquestad is pushing some high HP #'s with this type of set up.

cquestad, no fueling problems?

That's what I would do...you can always go back and make it more complicated if you can keep the fuel pressure/volum eup...

so then for the guys with the in tank lp we would still have to drop the tank pull the lp and mod the canister or get the jeep canister (i dont think we need to mod ) then cut the hard line and put in the raptor pump in place.but what do we do with the wiring for the factory lp does it go on the raptor pump then or just zip tie them up some where?
im looking at the raptor 100 if that make any diff

still a little confused but i make thing to complex for my own good,or just asking stupid questions either way thanks for the advice in advance.

If I go this route I'm gonna pull the canister, get rid of the pump and replace it with some sorta hose to save $100 on the liberty piece.

In one of the other threads someone said the Raptor came with the hose you'd need for this if you have the in tank pump.

Also I think you can specify what you're going to do and they'll send a fitting for the end of the hose that will connect to the canister so you don't need to cut the factory line.

I'd think you'd cute the wire to the factory pump and use it to trigger the Raptor relay..?

I phone glacier, they sell the 03 factory fuel cannister that came stock with engine mounted fuel pump. They told me that the raptor 100 hooks right up. Sounds like the route im going when i get around to it.
