I like my whistler it sure sounds good. I have the original i havent made that cold air mod yet. who else here uses ****** whistler and do u like it? I noticed awsome sound but I wonder if I maybe need a AFE stage 2 to lower my egts?

no air filter will solve your EGT problems...for some reason your truck just seems to run hot.....ditch your edge and get a smarty....smarty seems to run WAY cooler then the box/modules.....or buy a turbo.

What he said ^^^^^. You've been having problems with your truck and the Edge for a long time. If your that concearned with your EGT's pull the juice

read my reply. i said i GAINED MPG with the whistler. My truck problem is fixed. 14 other people told me they run the same egts as me even higher. because my truck is a 2004.5 and has a 3rd injection event to make higher F to burn out cat. Please respect people here.

AAll i meant was if someone tried the whistler versus the afe stage 2 and what did they notice?

1500 F is HOT for a 3rd gen. A intake will not help you EGTs enough to make a difference. The only true effective way to reduce them is to get a new turbo or eliminate the Edge.

PS- I have a Edge J/A and I've never seen above 1500 even while towing in the Mountains of CO. I also have pillar gauges to cross reference the Edge.

I love my whistler. I replaced the amsoil with AFE Pro Guard and just ordered the short radious 90 to turn it into the fender and then build a box to make it cold air

you said going with a pro guard stage 2 to lower egts... And by the way... i have an 06 which has the same injection event, and my truck never sees anything over 1450. Even with the smarty MP8 stack on a stock turbo. Kinda shows you what duration boxes will do huh? Lose the edge, but wait... i'd be reluctant to get rid of it too if i dropped that kind of coin on a mediocre product...
