I just went to a local exhaust guy and told him to take the junk out and weld a pipe in it's place. I think he charged my $95 a couple of years ago. It would be nice to replace the 'junk' with a flared piece with clamps so you could always put the original junk back in if you were forced by new laws, but that would be the only reason to go to that much trouble.

I went to a a diesel performance shop and they cut me a 92 inch pipe but they expanded both ends of the pipe so I could just slide the pipe on and use clamps instead of welding. You never know, emissions might happen for diesel's some day. Where are you located so maybe we can help get you a straight pipe?

call around, and call around more...eventually you will find someone with 4" pipe...............i also strongly recommend you have them weld it together, instead of using clamps.......

just had mine done today...$65 for everything, pipe, installed, welded....very slick

Yes I agree welding is the way to go since that way no exhaust leaks. But what if you have to put a kitty on for emissions someday? I plan to weld mine later but clamped it for now and so far no problems. Hope emissions never come.

Try Geno's garage website. That's where I got my 4" pipe to replace muffler.
