Where did you mount your electric brake controller?
I'm considering the Tekonsha Prodigy, which seems to get pretty good reviews and isn't too sensitive to mounting angle. But where to physically put it? I'd like to hear what has worked, and not worked, for everyone.
Thanks!
Thanks!

I used a long piece of metal and (after measuring) I bent both ends at a ninety degree angle and mounted it under the dash right across the middle. I then mounted the brake controller on the left hand side so only the front part shows.

Mines right next to the Ebrake pedal, I don't kick it but I never use the E brake either. Mines some fancy digital electronic thing that says it can be mounted at any angle as well but it works the best mounted level.

As bad as it sounds mine is just poked down in the shifter console above the 4x4 lever. It is a very tight fit and works very well. I used no screws since I have to pull the controller out to use 4-lo (doubtful I'll ever use it but its there). This location worked well for my voyager, it is within reach and out of the way, no way you can bump it with your leg in there!

I'd figure out which hand you would be using to manually brake if you had too and then mount it on the correct side of the steering wheel. I mounted mine on the right side 'cause I would be using my right hand. My truck is also a 6 speed so the right hand is always free for shifting and braking if needed.

I wasn't too keen on mounting it on the kick panel. When the wife drives her knees would easily hit the brake control. Must keep wife happy. Where I mounted mine it's easily accessible during an emergency. Many people seem to forget emergency part.

I also have a prodigy brake controller installed on bottom of dash panel, just above the fuel pedal beside the ash tray. I'm right handed and this seemed more convenient for me.
I also just hooked up the Edge EZ and did not want to drill another hole for the 3 position switch.Took a piece of thin stainless steel about 3/4 inch by 2 1/2 inches, rounded off the one end, bent it in half, drilled a hole for the 3 way switch and slid it between the prodigy and it's case. I just have to slide the bracket out if going to dealer. Painted the bracket black so it blends in with the interior.
