To stabilize it and to help with wheelies. You ain't doing a wheelie in a 4-ton truck

I know that your not doing wheelies, If you put the same horse power in a shorter wheel base, which one you think is going to break traction quicker? Given that they both are riden exactly the same way as implied in the original post.

I always thought that the further it was away from the tranny, the more torque your would loose, even just the slightest amount. Hence short driveshaft trucks produce more torque at the rear.

Hence, I think the swb will break loose first. If both were truely even steven with power and that the same mark.

I guess we need to find a dealer with a couple of test trucks and take a test drive.

Just another guess but I dont think with the amount of torque that these trucks have if there will be much difference at all. Add driver error and reaction time into the equation and I think its gonna be a toss up. Plus lets not forget that these trucks seem to have alot of varience in the timing from one identical made on the same day. How each one has been test drove in the past 1-250 miles might also free up the engine a hair. I dont know, maybe test trucks is not the answer. Anybody got Bill Nye's phone number?
