The factory rims are 17x8 with 6" backspacing, most aftermartet 17x8's are 4.5" backspacing, meaning the rims will stick out 1.5" more than stock, add 285's and you'll be kicking up alot stuff down the side of your truck.

my advice is to do as much research on here or else where on the net, as u can for rims before u buy.

a very popular rim for the new dodges is H2 hummer rims. you can buy set of 4 painted silver wheels for $150 on ebay. and the chrome ones for $400. these rims really look nice on 3rd gens.

Beware, the BFG A/T's pick up all kinds of rocks and throw them against the rocker panels. Good tire over all but bad for stones.

Chrome Hummer H2 Billet Forged Rims fit 2004 2500?

I'm looking at purchasing 18'' Chrome Hummer H2 Billet Forged Rims for $880 for all four. I looked at these and they are in excellent shape. They don't come with tires and i'll have to purchase these seperately. I'm was going to have Les Schwab lift the front end up 2" to make it look level. Any advice here would be greatly appreciated. Is this a good deal? I'm not sure what it is I have to look for when I purchase these? Spacers? recommended tire size? Don't really want these sticking out to far, just want to fill the wheel well. It sounds like the whole set-up is going to cost $$$. Pictures of wheels attached. (I have until Friday to make up my mind.)
Thanks Bud from Wash.
