Smile Wheel Hop and poor door seals

This is the time of year when I think the Dodge engineers quit before they were done. First major snow of the year and every time I open the door I get a pile of snow on my seat and in my power window control. FYI yes I brush off the snow, but still get a pile on my seat. Out of about 15 cars and trucks I have owned, none are even close to this amount of snow on my seat and in my switch. Then there is the wheel hop every time a tire slips. How could they not know this? I know I can spend $300-800 on ladder bars, but I should not need to do this. I guess I will fab some bars, but does anyone have an idea how to keep the snow out of the truck?? On the plus side at least I have a defroster that works this year!

The aerodynamic taper of the cab contributes to the snow deal. The 3rds don't hop nearly as bad as the 2nds. with the tall blocks. My Ford F-250 hopped all over the place in sand.

I feel your pain (not the snow part since I live in Las Vegas)....I'm getting ready to order traction bars from LazarSmith after hopping through some sand two weeks ago and getting stuck.

My wife said, We paid all that money for a 4WD truck...well, if it takes a little more to make it go through sand (or snow) than go ahead. Knew I married her for a good reason

The wrap around door looks like a good idea, but for wind noise from a side wind, it is very loud. With the opening on the top the powdered snow just piles up. There are some very nice bars out there, but with the equipment I have, I think I need to roll my own.
