Wheel balancing?

When i bought my tires and rims (procomp extreme 17 x 8, and 33 12.50 trxus tires) i noticed a ton of weights, which i know is not that unreasonable with tires that big and rims that can be only balanced on the inside. I was talking to someone last about some kind of balancing ring you put on the inside of the rim that balances itself when the tire is rotating. Someone else said you can put some kind of pellets through the valve stem that works as well. Any info would be appreciated.

Got some of these and love them.

There's another company that makes some too. I'll try to dig it up cuz they're cheaper in price, not sure if they're cheaper in quality too though.

Some people also like dynabeads. You replace those with all the new tires. The rings stay forever because they mount between the wheel and hub.

Wheel balance in the air as done by most balance machines is only part of the problem. The road force exerted by the tire is as big a problem as balance. On the Hunter web site you can do a search for shops in your area that carry the GPS 9700 Road Force balancer. It only needs to be done once on initial installation of new tires, after that normal balancing is all that's required. Americas Tire Co. call it "Ride Match". It will give you the smooth ride you expect and are looking for. It's the only sure cure. I run 35" Toyos and on smooth pavement I can't believe how smooth my ride is.
