I agree with that too, for example Barry is quite suprized as to how well my truck works with my stack. He is actually so supprized that he is going to do some more research with the stuff that I have on other trucks. He wants to do some test bed stuff on my truck next race season. The bottom end on mine is incredible. Gave my girlfriend whiplash.

Barry....................... Mork???? Shouldn't you give credit to me!!!! LOL I helped create the monster you got there. Alot of people didn't, and still don't believe the times I've posted with the simple mods I have. Especially given the fact they were done on stock tires.

I'd say you should definitely be in the 12's. There's folks running that tune without the twins and in the 12.6s. I think your good.

There is a reason why none of his trucks run a tst, and also there is a reason he is building 10 second trucks that only use a real small shot of nitrous and a single turbo. I see the proof in the pudding.

Haven't tried the newest updates, but rite now I have the same issues with it as I had with the BDPP. Which is in the higher settings, the less drivable it becomes. I can tell the Smarty modifies the TPS signal in the same matter as the BullyDog, and gives an on-off feel to the throttle. And it gives the tranny a weird stutter just b4 shifting and locking up. No reason for me to switch from the Diablo thats for sure. But as a simple borrowed one, can't relly complain. Great power by itself though!!!

ssleeper:

I wanted to give you some input on what I have seen and personally expereinced with the Dodge CTD CR Trucks and what it takes to get them into the 12's as you requested.

I found what DTR Member "morkable" said about the TST Box to be interesting, because that has certainly not been our experiences out here with our N.C./VA DTR Crew that have the TST boxes stacked with the Smarty's, BDDL, T&S Performance MP-8 or anything else. I don't want to get in an argument with anyone here, but here is a list of some of our crew and what they have run with the TST "stacked" with some of the boxes I listed above:

banshee--------------- 12.68 @ 110 MPH-------TST Stacked with MP-8---- masonic-dodge--------- 12.5 @ 105 MPH--------TST Stacked with Smarty--
Timinva----------------12.47 @ 106 MPH--------TST Stacked with BDDL----

After having seen DTR Members "banshee" and "masonic-dodge" run numerous times not only on the dyno, but also on the dragstrip, I can tell you that their H.P./Torque and 1/4 mile times are very, very consistent!
I also am sure that DTR Member "RCCox" ran that 11.80 @ 116 MPH in Kentcuky with a TST as his primary box. Personally, until DTR Member "morkable" mentioned what Barry @ NADP saw, I had NEVER heard of or personally seen anything like that. To give you a "counterpoint" to what Barry said he found about the "ECM learning what the TST was doing and making allowances for it" I would say if that IS the case the ECM can do that with any other fueling module box that is installed also!

As has already been pointed out, there are alot of "variables" on why a certain box works on one truck and not another. It is not only on the CR Dodges, but also on the Second Generation 98.5-2002 Dodge CTD 24 valve engines. Example? Why did my 2002 Dodge CTD 24 valve run a 12.90 @ 105 MPH when DTR Member "Mike D.'s" truck only run a 13.1 @ 102 MPH when he and I were almost identical in what we were running engine wise, gear ratio weight etc.??

I guess I would suggest to you that before you sell your TST box, to go out and try someone elses "combination of boxes" to see if your truck runs like theirs does. I would also run some dyno tests to either confirm or deny that your TST runs worse than what someone else may recommend! Hopefully, that will save you some time and money.

Those are good points John, and I would recommend to do that too. As it can get expensive to just go out and buy differnt products. I have been very pleased with my combination, and I know that streetsmoker is also pleased with this combination. But not every truck is going to respond the same.

remember also that the SO motors and HO 305 motors dont have the benefit of a crazy larry and the last 2 levels of a smarty and such. our ecms are light years behind the newer motors so a tst is really beneficial to and 03/04. so are our injectors. not saying huge #s cant be made with an 03 it just needs to be done a little different.
