Whats a Normal Fuel Pressure Reading on a Gauge???
#2
Just installed my isspro gauges this weekend and my fuel pressure gauge reads about 7 psi, and that is with a fuel pressure regulator. With my autometer ultralite gauges they had a fuel line running straight into the truck from the pump and I was reading about 8 or 9 psi. The 7 psi reading is around normal.

I thought with this Cp3 pump you didn't need a lift pump . Isn't that how the chevy's are running their Cp3.
My understanding was as long as you had positive numbers you were fine and it was acceptable to go to 0 psi at WOT. At least that's the theory.
That being said mine runs 7 at idle with warmer weather and stays at 4 or 5 with our cold weather.

As long as you have a positive psi reading it is okay, mine drops to around 2 even 1 sometimes at wot. These new systems are not like the older 1st and 2nd generation trucks. Most places will tell you that it is not even necessary to have a fuel pressure gauge on the new trucks, I have one though just to monitor things.

If you guys don't want to empty your wallet just run a secondary pusher pump inline get you up to 15psi W.O.T. and will also make factory lift pump last a long time I just clocked 100k with stock lift pump and Carter 4611 pushing behind it.

Kyle, can you elaborate any on how and where you installed your carter pump ??? I was wondering if it was necessary to keep a certain psi when you run aftermarket products such as a ramifier or other fueling box.
