That should be a pretty solid upgrade with just the six-gun. Not really sure the banks would tear up a stock input or flexplate though. I guess its cheap insurance.

If you ever step up to a better poweradder you'll be glad you did the flex and input for sure.

Transmission

Goerend Trans-- A-1 Personable , Hands on Builder, Best Warranty. In House Built Torque Convertors

HTT Trans -- Hands On Builder , High Quality Builds ,
DTT Trans-- Quality Builder
Suncoast-- In House Built Torque Convertors ,
ATS Trans--

Any of the Top Four Will build pretty much Same type of Build Becomes choice of Convience , And pricing and I would say that ends up being Goerends & HTS The Top two on the List of Builders Quality For Price cannot be beat with either of these two vendors.

Trust me... the Banks won't even make the stock flex plate squeak like a guinea pig, much less stress the input shaft... I know first hand.

With Smarty, on the higher levels anyway, it is wise to have your tranny built by any of those mentioned above, with at least a billet input, and a laminated or billet flexplate. A triple disc TC is good too, but you already have a Banks, which should be ok.

Sould be unless you start doing boosted launches at high psi.. Then you'll be losing the output shaft. I think your on the right track though. Are you still going to JTT?

He must be modding that valve body to do a bunch more pressure if he is gonna stick a DTT converter in there. I think they need a bunch of pressure to hold the lockup (if single disk)

What isn't?!!!! Not been impressed with Banks stuff, maybe on a Ferd it is okay at best. Seen first hand that on a Dodge it is not much compared to the other chips/modules out there. Can't see convertors being much different. They are probably mass produced and not matched to your truck or driving style. If you already toasted a tranny in 34k with only the Banks, I would say you need a good built tranny. I ran mine pretty hard and pulled over 12k regularly and still got 61k out of my stock tranny while running the juice Hot flashed. No comparision now with my Goerend. Wouldn't go back to a stock tranny if it were free.
