The 66 bullet will let you go 11s but it will be hot. When I went 12.20s I was only putting 660hp down (with a 50 pill of n2o). Where I am now it will go 11s on diesel only (720 hp) no doubt. But 6-7secs of that run would be above 1600 egts, to hot for me. When you spray 100 percent water you could run 11s and keep it reasonably cool.
To get in the 12s and keep it temps below 1500 with a 05-06 truck. Flux 3s, Crazy Larry or smarty, 66 turbo and a little press box. Of course you need a built tranny, air intake and converter out. Stock in tank lift pump will go 12s no problem. Oil Smell on this site just upgraded his lift pump to a mitusa but he ran well into the 12s all season last year on the factory in tank pump. Tim

The max I've ever dyno'd is 641 hp the fastest the truck has ever gone is 12.29. Remember the post Don M made a couple weeks back 717 he posted in it that the truck maxed out at 1250 with a 66 turbo. Now surely if i can add 76 more hp's to my truck it'd be dang close to the 11.99, I just don't see where you can say that the 66 won't support it, that might be all it will do though. I think with good a cam and a good tune'd truck(maybe a ported head) I think it will do it. As far as anyone posting the temps no one has hit 11.99 yet that I know of so I don't guess we will know will we?????? 1450 in the danger zone????? Surely my ol cummins will take 1450. And just where do you think the 66 will be maxed out at???? 12.1's 12.2's or 12.0????

The truck that did 717 @1250 was mine. The temps only got to 1250 on the dyno, on the street they get over 1600 with a silver bullet. I have a ported head , springs and cam. The only way a silver bullet is gonna run 700+ hp and stay below 1500 degrees is with water injection. That said my a5000 is getting to about 1500 while crossing over 100 mph so it helped but I still want some water to cool the egts further. Tim

John, I bought a Snow kit a couple of weeks ago. I have went to install it a couple of times but I still have not found a mounting point that I am happy with. It will have water on it this season. I have seen several times now what extreme egts do to cr heads. How is your 06 coming? Did you get rid of your press box? I only use mine at the strip or dyno. Take care Tim

Sounds good Tim! You will be surprised how much that water will cut your EGT's. And I KNOW you have seen some CR Heads that have had extreme EGT's.

My 2006 is coming along slowly. We installed the new TST PM 3 CR with R-49 and Johnner and Cris told me to take off the MP-8 so I did. I need a turbo now because as you know if I run anything above level 3/3 my EGT's are off the charts and the boost will go over 50lbs!! So, for now, I am trying to take it easy.

Even on fuel alone, I never hit my 1450* egt warning on the Juice monitor not while towing, or drag racing empty. Only time I heard it was drag racing the 1/4mi. against a Danali with my Jeep Cherokee in tow. Even then only got to 1480* and that was with a borrowed Smarty on lev. 9 stacked with the Juice.

People have to realize that each vehicle can respond just a little different to the same mods due to various things. Simply know your own limits and keep in mind others' experience and suggestions and then go for it.

And sorry if my rig doesn't represent what most others have here and sometimes doesn't really pertain to the heavier trucks.

The Juice has the "nicest" egt gauge of any I have ever seen... LOL.

My bro's truck runs under 1400 egt on 150 hp over stock of fuel...all day long. ROFLMAO

Not that this is the set up you're looking for but it's at least an idea. Check out my gallery.

Anybody consider mounting it all in a toolbox (bed), if you have one? That's what I'm going to do...
