I wouldn't claim that slip anyway, looked like the right lane was asleep at the light.

My recommendation is to take that stock airbox and throw it in the garbage and get something that will really flow some air. Much discussion about this on here. Do the prices seem high, sure they do. But they work.

You will feel the difference, especially if you are fueling. Lower EGT, quicker spool and cooldown time. In these trucks, you need air to make power.

After some research of my own.

I did the swiss cheese. No difference in performance or mpg. Then I cut the front side of my air box out. No difference in performance or mpg. Then I got a scan gauge, shows instant mpg, air intake temp and many more things. Then I got my edge juice. I drove on setting one for mileage because that was what I wanted. No difference in mpg. Then I put a 9inch cooling fan in my air box pushing air through the filter. A litter quicker take off from idle but no mpg difference. Did notice air intake temps went down some when I ducktaped over the holes in the botom and front of my air box. Then I tried levels 2-5 on my edge and egg shelled the throttle, no difference in mpg.
All of my mileage is hand calculated and I top off every tank.

Nothing saids it has to be a round hole, you could drill a small hole and then take a hacksaw blade to cut a rectangular hole. I installed the PSM Buick cold air kit. The kit calls for a 3 5/8 inch or 92 mm hole. One thing I immediately noticed was that I no longer draw down the filter minder. Even with the Truflow foam air filter I was able to draw the filter minder down until I opened up the bottom of the box. I like the setup.
