Usually adding power and reducing egts dont happen together. I have heard that the bullydog downloader on the tow setting (50hp) runs a little cooler than stock. Not sure about the turbo numbers. Sorry.

'05 turbo

I've heard the turbo is the same as the 04.5 CTD. If so, it is the HY35.

You can actually reduces EGT's with some boxes on the lower or tow settings. My truck runs a little cooler on the tow setting than it did bone stock. Stick with a box that alters timing. A duration only box will make EGTs very high. I've read that pressure boxes on the low settings have also dropped EGTs when stacked with other boxes (ex. - TST with edge ez). Air intake/exhaust mods will help a little (50-100 deg maybe). Other than that you would need a bigger turbo or intercooler or both.

I thought the 05 went to a bigger exhaust housing compared to the 04.5.

MoparRiggin how do you like your TST/BDDL stack and what settings do you run it on. Lmills over on TDR dynoed out at 598 with this stack and twins.

05mxdiesel, I really like this stack. I run the Bullydog downloader on the 90hp setting and the TST at 1/1 up to 4/4. I need to install a fass fuel pump b/c at the 4/4 setting I start to run out of fuel

I also have seen this in countless posts. Can anyone shead any light on what the deal is here. Also I know I've seen this on this forum and TDR that the turbo for the 03 and 04 is an hx35. Help anyone??

The '03-'04's use the HY35. I believe the '04.5 and up is still a HY35 but they have bigger compressor wheels.
