do u put 15w40 engine oil or lubriplate or vaseline on injector orings on our 5.9s? synthetic or not? also on the washer do you just put it on tip or do you put a little never seize just to keep washe from falling off tip when installing?


does any1 wire brush injector cup/holder and vacuum filings out before putting new injector in? what size wire brush cuz ill go buy 1?

 

Do not!!! Put any thing on the tip(nozzle)!! If you want you can put a little oil on the oring to assist in the install

Do not risk vaseline. There was a time when it would deteriorate some types of rubber. Don't know if it is still true.

Engine oil or diesel on the o-rings,a lil grease to hold the copper in place.Snap on sells injector bore brushes,but I haven't seen a 3rd gen that needed any cleaning there yet.

I agree, i would only use your standard engine oil....I would not even risk any grease on there!!!

yes u r right. i didnt mean tip i meant where the copper washer goes.wont the ring fall off if theres no grease or never seize holding it on?

 

A little grease to hold the copper seal in place isn't going to hurt anything.
