It is controlled by both press and temp. The opening set point is lower at high temps (>200 f ) it will help to cool the motor faster when needed. It will also relieve excess press cold, it just does it at higher press than hot. Tim

Ok so If a guys not a retard and he does not jump on his truck before its up to temp then the temp part of the valve should not matter. Would think that if a person would set a pressure relief at radiator cap pressure (16-17psi ?)then you should be golden.

Winner winner chicken dinner!
Im not running any block off plates, only time will tell but I have no plans on blocking them in the future. If you warm up before mashing and have a bypass I think you are good.
