What kind of mods can a stock clutch take?

I have a friend with an '06 and was wondering how far we could go on a stock clutch. Let me know what some of you 6spd. guys are running.

Thanks,

Adam

I'm running a Bully Dog D/L stacked with an Edge EZ.

BDDL on tow and EZ on 3...I can make the clutch slip at will.

For me any BOMB that adds around 90RWHP will slip it.

Level 4 on the Juice (80hp) is all mine could handle if I'm givin' er. If I roll it on smooth and don't try racing it will hold 100.

they cant take very much, i messed around and let mine slip to many times and had to end up cutting it out to be able to get to the fly-wheel bolts

mine hasnt ever slipped, even with the quad on 130. i dont launch in 3rd or rev it up and dump it. i just start out in 2nd at a reasonable rpm and catch up.

My friend has the identical truck to mine, and he runs the Bully Dog Power Pup, mostly on Performance, but has run the Extreme settings as well. He also has a Magnaflow muff, stock clutch has held up with no problems as of yet. He does not dump the clutch, or launch in 3rd gear either as some do

My stocker is holding fine with the Hot Juice on my 03. I don't take off in third but I have pulled some rough 2nd gear 4wd lauches.

The 100hp baseline is the one I have heard. Most of the ones I have dealt with switch to either a South Bend or Luc clutch setup if they are going over 100hp additional.

So what would be the best/favorite hp upgrade for a stock clutch situation.

I slipped mine with a e-break/boost build with my Quad race on 140. Other than that I’ve DUMMPED my clutch on 140 in second and she’s held every time. Musta’ got a good one (or my rear main seal is still holding!).
