what intake for better airflow but not more noise

for 04.5 truck. my old man would like some better air flow to go with his straight pipe and the Edge Ez i bought him, but he doesn't want an annoying turbo whistle. he uses his phone alot for work when driving and of course my mother doesn't wanna listen to the turbo on long trips.

is there an after market intake out that is not much louder than stock but gets more air in than the stock box and paper filter?

I would install a 4" drain pipe elbow at the bottom of the airbox and drop in a Amsoil Ea189 air filter. Leave the silencer tube and ring in.

I just put on the AEM BruteForce, this is definantly not the one you want if you like quiet. I did take off my Scotty 5 Unifilter. It will be going up for sale. It keeps things quiet inside and outside the cab.

i dunno what kind of exhaust you run but a straight pipe with cat left in place is very quiet in the cab. you can only really hear it WOT and since he never uses WOT it doesnt bother him. he is not a diesel nut like me...he likes to hear his radio and phone...me i want my truck as loud as it can be, it keeps other people from wanting to drive it.

I cut out the passenger side of the airbox, added a BD Eliminator Tube and replaced the stock air filter with a Baldwin which has a thinner mat. Can't tell any increase in noise, been loaded and WOT a lot and haven't pulled the filter minder since.

I think that his option would be to just put a nice drop in filter. Doing anything from the airbox back is going to create more noise IMO. My True-Flow intake is just a filter and a torque tube or whatever these guys call it. It makes my turbo louder at wot AND cruisng speeds.
