Had the same thing happen to me a while back , have them also check the turbo , the fuel in the oil will take out there bearings .

Thanks for the heads up on the turbo because it seems that I am having problems with the truck once more. I put the truck back to work today and with a 22 foot trailer have the size and weight of my 40 footer with the trailer empty I was getting 8.6 MPG. The strange thing is I was getting the same mpg with the trailer loaded. I can hear the trubo screaming loaded or not. What do you all think it could be? The truck still seems that it is not pulling right. IT feels like jerks a little.

The turbo will get loud and start whining on take off . The best way to check it is to remove the air boot from the filter , two hose clamps , and look at the turbo to see if the fins are cutting into the side of the housing , check the side play on the shaft also . If you see any marks at all the turbo should be replaced .

when mine went today it made a noise like a siren when i got on it the truck coughed and then came the smoke. had a dmax for a week you wouldnt like if tow a lot thought i killed the first nite i ran it
