24? On an 06? no way! Best I have seen was 21.2mpg and that was one way with very light traffic. I can eek out 20 no problem if I drive 60mph, but soon as I hit traffic or get off the highway, she drops quickly. Commuting by myself 23 miles each way, 1hr drive on average I can get 17.2mpg but it's hard to accomplish.

All the above is hand calc, me thinks these 24mpg stories are people relying on their O/H's.

Brett,

The best I did with Beta 4.4 on level 5 was heading West on I80 from Iowa through Nebraska and then down I76 to Denver. I got 19.4 mpg (hand calculated) at ~73 mph; although, that's also playing a few times just to make sure I could pass quickly enough.

I'm hoping that when I get Don's Helix 2 cam, springs and Flux 1 (maybe 1.5) injectors that the mpg will come up another 1-1.5 mpg. I suspect my stock sticks are borderline since they're a little noisy w/the Beta timing. Before the Beta, I ran the aftermarket injectors software just to keep the noise down.

"06 4x4 bagged, leveled, jake, bunch of other stuff...just ask if your really interested"

Well, lets hear it. what are you running for mods?

FYI, best mileage I've ever got with my truck was 19mpg, and this happened twice. The first time the truck was a week old. Intake and exhaust only. Second time was about 1 month ago with the mods in my sig. Go figure. One thing for certain, the smarty is the ONLY thing that has EVER increased my mpg.

The problem is your right foot! j/k

17 seems to be the norm with the 4x4/autos.

Try 32oz of TCW3 two stroke mixture oil in the fuel and see if the fuel economy increases.

Brett,
what mods? looks like you have taller tires if your only doing 1850 @ 70 but how wide?
air?
exhaust?
my last trip to pa. and back I averaged 19.88 for the trip @70 - 75 mph
If I slow down to 65 I can get in the low 20's all hand calculated and speedo checked with gps.
Also 25k on your truck is not much, I have seen small increases in mine from 25-48k and I'm hoping it will get even better
As for 24mpg, the highest I've ever hand calculated was 24.2 going through ohio and HAVE NOT seen it since so I think something was wrong mileage off, pump not calibrated right to show correct gallons ect.....

Brett, nothing's wrong w/ your truck, your just being honest about what your getting. Yeah I've got as good as 23.4mpg driving to Dallas and back ONE TIME, but I would never say my truck gets 23mpg. I avg 16-18mpg in real world conditions. List your mods a little better if your going to ask Q's like this.

heres what i can think of off the top of my head. did another tankful and only got 17.05 cruise set on 70 and all highway except for when i got onto the interstate after getting fuel...ive never been real disappointed in my truck until this weekend. oh well...

06 quad 4x4 auto
jake
riderite 2299s
heavy front end replacment
aem dry filter intake
no muffler
egt, boost, tranny,(fp and rp acting weird) gauges
33x12.5x17 procomp mt on stock wheels @60psi (terrible tire)

7900 lbs w/ a full tank of fuel

i know i bought a truck and not a prius but the beta program wasnt worth what it did to my tranny for 17 mpg

alright. latest and greatest.

my truck is in need of a lift pump and possibly some injectors. so i am running stock.

riddle me this...i get better fuel milage stock than i do with the smarty beta 4.4.

before you start claiming that im mashing the motor, im not. this is highway driving. the best i did with around 17 w/ 4.4...stock im doing 18.1 ish.

could the smarty be hurting my fuel milage that much? towing stinks btw when your stock too

How do you know the LP is bad and maybe a few injectors?
Did you have it checked out? Or have a fuel pressure guage on the truck?

I had mine checked out when my fuel mileage drastically went down, they said my truck was fine. Funny thing though, its come back up to where it was before over the past month.
Best I can get is 15mpg, usually in the 14-14.5 range, but thats with 70%~ city stop-n-go...

i have quads rp/fp gauge and it reads 0 sometimes, other times is 10. when at the dealership, he pulled a fuel sample and it wouldnt push any fuel out of the drain with the key on. and he did injector tests with the star scan and 3 are below 100...whatever that means.

Would the injectors be ready low because of the cp3 not having enough fuel from the LP?
Did he say the injectors were hanging/leaking, or just not firing properly?(Have you checked your oil level lately?)

Either way, that stinks...
Going to try a Glacier/Fass setup first, then mess with the injectors?
And did he seem like they were going to replace the injectors(or possibly the bad ones) without any hassle? Id jump on that.
