What Gas Should I Choose???

Cant really decide here, so I'm just wondering. Propane I know is the hardest to install, but other than that I don't know much as to the pros and cons of each system. Other than Nitrous makes for high head pressures.

I got money to spend, but don't want to waste it. Or have to change anything if possible on the engine. This is my next logical step as I don't want the investment it takes to run all fuel and the modded CP3 it takes to run on strictly #2.

Nitrous you are asking for problems without installing new head studs. I can spend your money and believe me I will get good value for your money on my truck!!

I'd say propane and water/meth.

the way i see it, Nos, is expensive, and you have to keep getting your bottle filled, it don't last long. will need to upgrade the heads/bolts.
pain in the.....
propane, good value, more mileage, pretty safe, need a large enough tank to make worth while, now ytou taking up bed space, or under truck tanks, there again, you need to refill often, finding places that will fill on off hours etc, another pain in the .....
water/meth, roughly a little cheaper, fairly safe, washer fluid is like 1-2 bucks a jug, can get any hours of the day, can fill any time of the day/night,you will always have lots on hand, so you will never have to worry about a dirty windshield, if you have power adders, then temps should come down, maybe some added power.
i haven't done any of these, but plan on the water/meth combo soon, just makes more sense for me.hope this helps

Yeh, I was wondering at my power level if I would still get a power increase from water meth @ a 50/50 mix? My temps are fine now with the bigger turbo, so wouldn't I be able to run a richer mixture than the 50/50 washer mix? If so, where and how do you get pure methane alcohol?

You are thinking of ethanol alchohol. Not methanol. Don't exactly know the difference though. So what is the average power increase people see with these water meth kits? Looks like that is the spray I'm gonna go with.

ethanol = grain alchohol (yummy!), has higher energy content

methanol = wood alchohol (poison), lower energy content, cheaper

corn likker tastes better, works great

So they are interchangeable? If so cool! I know a few moonshiners around abouts. I guess you could use some cheep 100proof vodka then right? Cause it's not too fit to drink thats for sure. That would be a 50/50 mix!!!! LOL!

They're both fine for your truck - just don't try drinking both

'Shine is the way to go, especially in your neck of the woods, but I wouldn't waste even cheep vodka in your cummins - it works too well on chigger bites for that!

i have tried both and nos is what i use now. i run 58lbs of boost without it and into the 60's with it. never had a hg issue. i am studded however. nos gives me the best power by a mile over water meth and cools my egts alot better.its alittle more money for nos with getting the bottles filled but it makes up for it when you hit that little red button .water meth is a hg killer just like nos also. both can hurt you if not prepared for it and if its not used correctly.
