Curious guys. Have a 2006 that pretty stock and was just curious what I could do to get the EGT's down. Its got an AFE stg2, 5" exhaust, and an XZT box. Not interested in getting more power(bigger box) but just with the stuff I have I can get the EGT to 13-1400 if I dont let out of it. Seeing 40psi at WOT. Do I need a bigger turbo or something? I know at 40psi the turbo is starting to fall out of it efficiency range, but its not that far out. Bigger injectors will just make it hotter right? Any suggestions?

A turbo will lower egts, along with an aftermarket intercooler, water methanol injection, or you could try one of those other boxes that have safety features build in to defuel at your preselected temp? I know quads other boxes and I think even the commander have that capability.

at 40 psi, the stock turbo is way out of its efficiency range. the desired use of the truck will determine which turbo to get.
for towing and industrial injection ps 62/13 or 14, ats a2k, or an htt 62/13 or 14.

if you are going to stay with that module, i wouldnt go with a super ps, you will have trouble spooling it.

mostly just daily driving, occasionally I tow some quads and dirt bikes on a trailer.......maybe it all weighs 4k

What about an old school HTB2? 62mm compressor a 65mm hot side I believe and get the 12 cm housing. Ask Dodgezilla about his, he seems to really like it. they are nice on the wallet too.
