what clutch

I never flet any slipping, it held like a rock. It was $500 to my door. They told me that it will be harder to drive, and it was. My wife could no longer drive the truck. reversing was a chore. The 3400 plate mad a heavier pedal than I would like. I think next I am going with a springy dual disc. It is supposed to be the most streetable high hp option out there. Unless i need one before my stocker dies (and I will just get an OFE conversion) and I don't have the dough, I am going that way. A reader on here or theTDR had a Valair G56 conversion and there was problems. I hope I recall this correctly. The input shaft was not correctly meshing its splines with the disc, there may have been a pilot depth issue, and some kind of starter spacer. I will look for the thread.

It held great. I never dynoed it (I don't even know if there is a dyno anywhere around me). But you could put it in 3rd gear, rev it up to like 2500 and slide your foot off the clutch. The truck would fry the 285's, pitch the truck sideways, and keep on going until the truck's speed met the tire speed. It was really fun. In 6th gear you could floor it at like 1500 RPM's, the boost would hit like a train, and I never felt even a hint of slipping. It worked fine, but it was to radical for me. If I was using my truck as a hardcore speed toy, I'd get it again.

Just called peter a few min ago and it didnt quite make sense but i'll try. dd 3250 550hp is a organic and the dd 3250 is a feramic sprung puck. But please dont quote me on that. He also would get the hydraulics with 600hp 3250. What he told me to order was the DD 3250 12 CD SPRING 56. Then HYDR.750 for the slave cylinder.
jmcart, that was RobertP that had the problems witht the input shaft on a G56 and the valair if you are still curious.

jmccart guess the 550hp wouldn't but the sprung puck 600hp would be reconmended. But others would do it for all the clutch upgrades?? Dont know for sure? But i think i will, just to do it the first time so i won't run into a problem later...
