EaA filters should be cleaned every year or 25,000 miles, whichever comes first. Carefully remove the filter from the housing. Clean the housing with a shop towel, being careful not to knock contaminants into the air inlet. Filters can be cleaned by carefully vacuuming the filter media on the dirty side, or by holding the filter with one hand and carefully blowing the filter media at a 45 degree angle on the clean side using low-pressure shop air (15-20 lbs. psi).

I use Amsoil an there filters but not one of those that go on the intake systems . An I am not sure exactly the one you have . So get your part number in hand an call 715 392 7101 an ask for the tech dept an they will tell you how .

i've never understood how vacuuming an air filter can completely clean it. especially if you live in an area where stuff like mag chloride is put on the roads, your air filter will get full of the stuff as it gets sucked in when it becomes a mist, and kicked up by other vehicles. when i clean my aem filter this time of year, the bucket is black from all the crap that comes off my filter.

I blow mine off good with an airhose at about 45 degrees. Then I drop it in a bucket of simple green and water. After an hour or whenever I think of it I go and do a washing machine like movement with the filter in the bucket. I then rinse it good with clean water from the inside out and blow it dry the same way. Cleans it good as new. I have done it a dozen or more times now and my oil analysis shows it is doing its job. Just my method, I could be wrong...

I blow mine out with compressed air to get the worst of it off the filter. Then spray it down with simple green/water as well....let it soak in really well and then just run water through it from the sink or water hose with light water pressure....
Cleans it perfect!
As Mizzu says....I've done this a few times and my oil analysis showed that it was doing its job just fine!
