Lark - No it wasn't Dr. Performance that I called. It was a shop in Fort Worth. I was also told that upgrading your injectors won't do anything for ya unless you have a performance box or programmer. Is that really true? I can't just install ...let's say 100hp injectors w/o a box and expect to get 100 horse?

Yes you can run them without a box, but it may hurt your performance rather than help. I believe that you would need some form of enhancement to take advantage of the extra fuel,, but I could be wrong, I have never played with that

What's up with Dynomite Diesel slam'n electronic performance boxes? It sounds like they really hate those things!
"DDP Injectors are not another electronic box that will fail as soon as you leave home worse yet when you are towing your trailer, miles from home."
"Electronic boxes can leave codes in your truck that indicate their past presence, leaving you without a warranty."
"DDP will not warrant any injectors that fail due to poor fuel use, or aftermarket pressure boxes, that crack nozzles."
"In this case I would consider removing one or more of your unreliable electronic boxes, to get the full horsepower gain and reliability that a set of DDP injectors can provide."

Read my post on the differences in stock nozzles to F1 nozzles. Aggressive pressure boxes take out stock injectors and nozzles. F1 nozzles and modified injectors seem to be able to handle the pressure. I imagine Dynomite has been having some warranty requests when the injectors upon which their modifed nozzles are put on have failed ....when they fail they often take out a piston or two, so people get very upset. If you are running rail pressure above 23k especially with big surges....the stock injectors will fail. Bosch is working hard to raise the pressure limit so 2006 and 2007 cores should be a little more durable.....I don't think the piezo electric injectors of the 6.7 are compatible with the 5.9 injectors. ks
