Were do you mount an Airdog on a short box 4x4?

Got my Airdog 100 last week and have been sizing a few things up for install.

The mount I have bolts the Airdog onto the frame rail (inside or outside) using two pieces of plate steel.

Well, that is not doable on my shortbox with AMP steps.

AMP steps do not allow the Airdog to be mounted on the outside of the frame rails.

On the inside, there is not much room inbetween the transfer case and the fuel tank. Maybe 18" or so. Right in the middle of this stretch is a body mount. Therefore the bracket cannot be installed on the outside of the frame rail.

So, what is a guy to do?

Anyone have installed pictures?

Also, I think I've seen a FASS mounted up in the rear wheel well on the outside of the frame rails, but I don't know if there is room on this?

Not so impressed with this setup. I don't like how the filters hang down, and I had to remove my skid plate for the transfer case. Should I ditch this thing and get a Raptor instead or?

If fits inside the rail towards the transfer case. Like you said, it is very tight, but it works. The steps always mess that up.

I slid the bracket between the fuel tank and frame rail and placed the pump mounting area as close to the tank as possible. I had to drill new holes lower than the ones predrilled in the bracket to lower the pump assembly as there wasn't enough clearance above the pump.

The bracket I have doesn't mount the pump like that. It wants the pump to sit 90 degrees from that, like inline instead of horizontal.

Do I call Purflow and try to get that bracket?

Ya, those steps are right in the way. I picked up a raptor mount, I belive from Richard at glacier diesel, and imounted mine the same way as 87hybrid. I drilled new holes like his and it fits great in there and is even protected by the skid plate.
