Well guys i need help
I have told you guys about my front axle being bent due to a bad accident i was in a few years ago and this problem wasnt discovered untill just recently when i have my suspension lift put on and my truck aligned, now a steering boot went and i brought the truck in today and now im told i need ball joints which is about a 1200 dollar job (roughly) and i was told this is because of the bent front axle. I trust the man who told me this because he is a family friend and has one of the premier 4x4 shops in the country.
Point is..
Does anyone know where i could find a AAM 925 front axle? I dont care where it is i just need a good front axle.
thanks

For the money your getting ready to spend, be sure to look at other options if you can't find a replacement axle with good ball joints still in it. I would personally look at dynatrac and currie before I buy any new or overpriced axle assembly. You could possibly get an entirely new axle(don't forget ABS) from dynatrac with their manual hub conversion for a decent deal and end up with a better axle. I'm pretty sure you would have to call them about it, cuz I don't recall seeing Dodge front axle assemblys on their site. Check the other guys too. I'm sure shipping would be a bich though.
This is just theoretical of course and good luck.

Nick,
My best advice to you would be to get on a site like www.dodgeparts.com or call your local dodge dealer and tell them you want to order the WHOLE AXLE ASSEMBLY.
I tried the junkyard game a while back trying to locate rear driveshaft and we found one in decent shape for $250 but it had a casting flaw and I couldnt use it. All the rest were priced around $400 on the junk yard network..
I ended up going to the dealer and got the WHOLE rear drive shaft assembly.... 2 Yokes, 3 U joints, Carrier bearing/housing, basically front to back assembled and NEW for $429 with tax.
Last time I heard the 9.25's are going for around $2K+ in the salvage yards...But hey it doest hurt to check.
Oh yeah, on the ball joints, they all go bad no matter what. I had one about to fall out at 22k miles.

If I dont have one at my yard, I still might be able to find you one somewhere....
From the prices im seeing, 1700-2500(plus shipping, depending on where you are)

This is going to end up costing you several Thousand dollars. Can't you make a claim with your insurance?
What part is bent, one of the tubes? If so you may be able to have it replaced for a lot less money.
By the way, a Currie or Dynatrac unit would cost around $5000.
