Weird Vibration

Like the title says I get a weird vibration or shudder after my tranny shifts into OD under heavy throttle. It only happens in OD and under heavy throttle and not just at shifts but anytime I goose it. I replaced my Uj oints already but its still there. Anyone have a clue as to what this could be?

1 piece driveshaft or 2 piece, ive heard of the center "bearing" going bad, the name escapes me now but im just throwin that out there. I have a one piece and i get a shudder at about 69mph to 72-73 mph 1800-2100 rpm looked it up here and it talks about driveshaft "flex or twist"

Its called torque convertor shudder, basically the clutch is "chattering" upon engagement. Two fixes....replace tq convertor (good time for upgrade), or raise the line pressure inturn raising clutch apply pressures(not a very good long term option)

I had a Truck that did this same thing the problem i was having was caused by to much flex on the rear end i installed torque rods from rear axel housing to frame to keep the rear end from torquing up and down. I only had this problem when pulling a trailer that was heavely loaded and under heavy throttle, it could be torque converter shutter as will but i had mine replaced with an ats converter and still had the problem

2004 2500HD smarty k&n intake, jammer 100hp nozzels, ats manifold, ats trany kit and converter.

Your TC doesn't have a long life ahead of it.

Oh man this is going to be expensive! The truck only has 63,000 on the OD would an aftermarket TC and VB do me some good. Or should I just wait for full tranny. Any opinions are appreciated.

I have the same problem in 2nd gear. I went and had it checked out and the TC is going out and wanting to lock up in 2nd gear for some reason.I had the line pressure turned up for a temp fix and have to take it easy until I have the trans rebuilt. The reason I am having the trans rebuilt is that we found debris from the TC in the pan and I'm not going to take a chance on putting a good TC on a worn out trans. I might as well go all the way.
