What do you mean they are cheaper than the hub covers ? Are you speaking about the stock simulators ? I'm lost, get me a map please.

I just bought a new front simulator outer and cap. I paid 29.00 for the outer ring and 15.00 for the center cap. From the dealer. Just put them on yesterday as a matter of fact.

Ohhh, one more thing, I had Eagle Alloy wheels on my 95 and was not happy with them. They shine real nice till you have to clean them. Alcoa has a much better finish IMO

mine were for the rear dualls

alcoa wheels have a protective coating on them that lasts a couple of years, at least the 11.22.5 and larger truck wheels do

currently i am running no caps or covers just the black steeles and they look tuff imho.

American Eagle wheels have an option of three different finishes. They have chrome, polished and super finish. Each finish requires different levels of keeping the appearance new. I have a set of eagles with the polished finish and love them. Not much to do to keep them looking great.

You've got me curious now on those prices. I'm going to call my dealer Monday and check prices on the rears. I can't see why they would be 9 - 10 times more expensive than the fronts though.

Could it be the difference between the plastic covers verses the steel chrome covers?

I don't know, but I just looked some aftermarket ones up in Summits magazine.
Phoenix USA D.O.T. Liners polished T304L stainless under $200 for a set of 4 (however the 17"s are not listed)

Quickliner polished T304L stainless under $150 for a set of 4 (once agin, 17" not listed)

I'd call to see prices for the 17", but not now.

I have been running the Eagle 058's on my dually since last sept. Even with the Mag choride that is used on the roads here they still look great. A quick polish with Mother's and they shine like new.

Thumbs down

Guys, The Load rating is 2600 pounds. These must be for toys. I haul up to 34,500 #. 2600 by 6 is only 15,600 #. Why bother with load range e tires when p tires fit. Yikes for us haulers. K.S.
