Having the tank underhood really heats up the liquid. There's lots of room in/under the bed and it's cake to run the lines.

I didnt really think about the under hood temps, I was more concerned about it freezing in the winter. How low of an amount of methanol do you need to add to keep it from freezing to say 10*F? That is about as cold as I have seen it here. I could mount a big tank to the front of the bed since it is dead space from the stacks.

From my experience, there really wasn't a time when I needed the W/M in temps that cold. Either the EGT's stayed in check or there was snow/ice on the road and you couldn't use the power anyway. In the winter I would just put a 60/40 mixture of W/M and turn the system off. You could also buy some cold weather washer fluid that is good down to -10* and use that.

I would definitely use that wasted space for the tank.

The devils own kit taps into the windsheild washer tank. Holds a gallon and the little light on the dash comes on when you need to fill. Be carefull of fluids with -20 or below. They do not use methanol for the antifreeze agent. The name escapes me but the type of alcohol in those can damage your engine.

The Winter Washer Fluid you buy at Walmart is 20% Meth and good to around 10*F....I believe. Can't remember exact temp but am sure about the meth content.
