Dodgezilla:
I just searched the net for a site with a picture of them, since I knew I'd have a hard time explaining them. I've never actually dealt with that site. Every motorcycle shop around here sells them, so I wouldn't even bother to mail order them. Call around locally and see if anyone stocks them. Post some pics if you decide to do this.

Wasn't there a TSB on replacement of the filter minders due to weak springs?

Thanks Diirk. I'll check the local bike shop and let you know.

RJS,
I don't think it was a TSB. They just told you the guage was not calibrated properly. The newer trucks have a recalibrated unit. I ran my truck a couple of miles with no filter once and it did not pull the minder down at all!?!?!? Makes you wonder if it really was the minder or just a crappy flowing filter.......

Well, with no filter I wouldn't expect the filter minder to register anything I'm sure the factory filter is more restrictive than some after market filters. I guess I think that's a good thing. I'm a poor excuse for a Dodge diesel guy. I plan on sticking with factory everything mainly to preserve warranty. It's not worth the risk to me to "experiment" with things like aftermarket air filters to gain questionable advantages. But, that's just me

I drove about 40 miles today on the interstate. It was dry and the salt and sand was really kicking up. I just checked my air box. There was a little sand in there, but no problems. I have the 90 degree PVC. I put the female end out towards the headlight and let the male end come up into the box a little. Now if I will be driving an extended period in heavy rain I can pop the clips and put an end cap on the elbow and I am back to stock.
