Want Rims + tire combo that does not stick out

If you change the backspacing/offset so they stick out more you will be putting more stress on that unit bearing that it was not designed to take. Remember the inner and outer bearings are only about 1/4 inch apart.

My main reason for this thread was not to have the tires and rims to stick out. Mainly to prevent the paint from getting damaged but you make and interesting point. However if referring to the front bearings I have EMS locking hubs, so would this still apply?

If you want new wheels go for it. If the truck can't take that little difference, fix it with a better design.

I changed mine because The u-joints were bad, and the bearings showed signs of wearing, plus it was a pain to get them off before someone here figured out an easier way than a big hammer.
